Sunflower Trilingual School’s Eco-Adventure: Students Embrace Sustainability at Bang Krachao

On September 2, 2024, the students from Sunflower Trilingual School embarked on an educational field trip that perfectly aligned with the school's thematic focus, "STS Saves the World." The field trip was attended by students from Grades 3, 4, and 8, along with their teachers. The destination was the Bang Krachao Learning Center in Phra Pradaeng, Samut Prakan, a place renowned for its rich natural resources and environmental education opportunities.

The day was filled with various activities that not only provided hands-on learning but also instilled a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment. The students eagerly participated in tree planting and forest nursery activities, with each student planting their own tree. This was an invaluable experience, allowing them to contribute to the preservation of the environment actively. They also learned how to make organic fertilizers, further enhancing their understanding of sustainable practices.

Roaming around the forest park, the students marveled at the beauty of the natural surroundings and gained a greater appreciation for the importance of protecting these resources. In addition, they were educated on the significance of recycling, learning how to separate trash into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories.

One of the highlights of the trip was when the students painted recyclable fabric bags, providing them with a creative outlet to express their imagination. The colorful and imaginative designs they created were a testament to their creativity and their commitment to sustainability.

As the day concluded, the students returned home with a profound sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, having not only enjoyed a day of learning and exploration but also contributed to the preservation of the environment.
