Exploring Thai Massage at Wat Pho: A Field Trip Report

As part of the school's thematic learning program on Amazing Thailand, the Grade 7 students participated in a field trip to Wat Pho on July 25, 2023. Wat Pho is not only a famous temple, but also a renowned center for Thai traditional medicine and massage. The students had the opportunity to visit the Wat Pho Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School, where they learned about the history, theory and practice of Thai massage. They were introduced to the basic techniques of Thai massage, the contraindications and precautions, and the Thai herbs that are used for therapeutic purposes. The field trip was a valuable experience for the students to gain insight into one of the cultural treasures of Thailand.
