Every year, Sunflower Trilingual School, along with its dedicated teachers, parents, and students, participates in the STS Community Outreach program. This initiative aims to spread love and support to communities in need. This year, on March 6-7, 2025, the outreach program took a meaningful turn as teachers from Sunflower Trilingual School visited Bwe Klar Learning Center, a Burmese Migrant Boarding School in Mae Sot District, Tak Province.
The Bwe Klar Learning Center, supported by UNESCO and the People of Japan, works in partnership with the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The visit was marked by the generosity and enthusiasm of the Sunflower School community, who brought various donated items, including water filters, school shoes, sandals, pencils, paper, toys, bicycles, sports equipment, snacks, and lunch.
Upon arrival, the teachers organized fun activities to foster camaraderie and joy among the students. These games and interactions were aimed at showing kindness and happiness to the children at Bwe Klar Learning Center. After a day filled with excitement, the teachers helped distribute lunch and tested the water filters for the students to ensure their safety and well-being.
The visit culminated with the distribution of personal necessities, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shoes, to the students. This heartfelt gesture highlighted the school's commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
We extend our gratitude to the Bwe Klar Learning Center for granting us the opportunity to visit and connect with their community. This experience has left an indelible mark on all of us at Sunflower Trilingual School, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in spreading love and support through the STS Community Outreach program.
